The Challenge of Being a Traditional Wife

Dear Readers, There is a debate that women should  go back to being traditional wives. It’s the thinking of some people that if women go back to being traditional  wives, then this will keep husbands from staying,  they can focus on the children and this will heal the family structure. so, I say if women have think about becoming traditional wives then husbands should do the same. Instead of the husband spending time working to buy a new sport car, expensive watches, shoes   and clothing. Becoming a traditional husband means that you work to take care of your family and to meet all of their needs. You spend quality time with you family, instead of watching sports all day, or going out on the road to hang with you friends  to avoid being home with your wife and children. Being a traditional husband means that men give their pimp daddy, player life style and become a one woman  man.

If men are expecting women to devote all of their time and energy  taking care of the family then they should do like wise.

Single-Mothers2

Dear readers,

I am pitching my next idea for a short story contest. Please take a few minutes and read my outline, I will appreciated your comments.

I do not have a title.

Desiree, is 15 when the story begins, the conflict happens when she is 42, which is near the end of the story. A single mother raises Desiree; she has three children by different men. Through a series of tribulations, Desiree tries to overcome following her mother’s example. At sixteen, Desiree gets pregnant by Wallace Evans, he has big plans for his life that do not include a baby’s mother who wants to be a kept women. Wallace leaves her, joins the Army, gets married and moves away, but he financially supports his son Peyton. In the meantime, Desiree continues to live in the project and has a series of hit and run relationships. She gives birth to two more children and in the process liberates herself from living on Public Assistance, by working a part-time job and child support.

Desiree is insecure and she fails in her mission to try to keep a man and establish the family structure she never had. She continues to make the wrong choices when selecting men because she confuses sex with being in love.  She struggles with being a good and providing for her children.  In comes Leslie Lambert, age 55, a wealthy Lawyer, she is white, a lesbian, has no children and never been married. She is attracted to Desiree; however, Desiree is only attracted to the life that Leslie can give her children, so she plays both sides of the fence, until Leslie asks her to make a choice.

Desiree is torn between giving her children the life they deserve, and giving up having a relationship a man.  The other obstacle in the way is her oldest son Peyton he is not comfortable with their living arrangements. The turning point comes when Peyton runs away to live with his father. Desiree stops fighting and finally come to terms with the fact that Leslie is offering her more than any man has…..

The return of the mad Dater

Hello readers, pardon my absence, I was stricken with flu, or to put is as my son say, ” I was  on the bed of affliction.”

My last post I wrote a scenario revealing how some women are fooled  by seemly well intended admirers. These women allow themselves to be led  by emotions, instead with their minds. As I promised part two:  It’s all about the Ring , The flip side of the Dating Game.

Girl spots boy, boy shows a little interest, girl  makes the first play because boys isn’t moving  fast enough.

Girl slips boy her number, boys smiles but doesn’t call. Feeling frustrated, girl changes the game, she dresses seductively and slutty. Boy pretends to like what he see, he calls , she is excited, they make a date.

Girl cleans her place, cooks, wines and dines him, boys observation during dinner: she drinks too much, she talk too much, she is wearing  cheesy  lingerie, and she asks too many questions about his career and salary.

Boys thinks she is easy and looking to be a kept women.

Girl, turns up the heat, boys decides to play along.

In the mean time…..several months have passed, girl and boy are in an intimate courtship.

Girl is pushing for them to move in  together, boy resists.

Girl make hints about marriage, he ignores her, but he continues to enjoy the fruits of the physical relationship.

Girl is getting frustrated it’s approaching the one year mark and still no ring. She is desperate and plans a trip. he agrees because she is playing for the ” romantic getaway.”

While hanging out in their boudoir, she encourages him to drink lots of champagne. Time for romance, girl pokes holes into condom, boy unaware.

Six weeks later pregnancy test positive, girl excited, she breaks the news to him, he is disappointed, but vows to take care of the child.

She continues to try to win him over, all efforts fail.

….Fast forward one year later,  she  bumps into boy and another girl, he introduces her as his wife.

Girl crying asking why? Why did she get the ring?

I can answer that question. It’s not about getting the ring or setting traps to get it.  Its a mans desire to have a woman in his life that represents honesty, self respect and above all she should  have class and standards.  Men of integrity can spot women who are entering a relationship with less than honorable intention. To some women getting a ring is about establishing a life time of security and they will do what ever it take to hold onto the ring not the man.

What say you?
