A Few Things I Want to Say

Dear Readers, there’s is a few things I would like to address, please bear  with me.cropped-dsc2746-1.jpg

This new idea of a genderless society is a step towards taking away our individual identify. I have never been fond of the principle of assigned gender roles. I am a supporter of equal rights regardless of gender some people interrupt this as women’s desire to compete with men this thinking is wrong. It is by natural selection that we are given our gender and identity. Furthermore, due to advance science and technology parents are able to discover the gender of an embryo, so much for the elements of surprise. There is even speculation of future technology that will allow parents to select certain features that they deem desirable resulting in their children being born with certain characteristics that will allow them to an advantage over other children. This all seems so absurd and out of control. Remember Victor Frankenstein in Mary Shelley’s literary masterpiece Frankenstein. This narrative illustrates the consequences of man going beyond the order of nature. What I observe occuring in society is the reordering or recreating a world to fit the needs of particular groups of people who feel the need to create a society that is out of the natural order. In today’s society practicing morals and good value is no longer important.

Our leaders have failed to stand firm on issues of family values instead they bend to every movement and organizations that cry foul when they feel that their basic human rights have been violated due a difference of opinions on issues like same sex marriage, gender neutral restrooms, the right to life, affordable housing, and the right to earn a fair wage. We have become so divided that we challenge whose life matter more. Black lives matter, the me to movement, along with other movements only serves the purpose of further diminishing people based on race and gender. Not to mention the that we currently live in a ” except me as I am society” where being unhealthy and overweight is viewed as body shaming so the practice of encouraging obesity is expected. Even the religious people are fleeing from their houses of worship to join non denominational churches because they are at odds with the strict rules of religion.

This chaos has led to an increase level of anger. Am I the only one who notice the increasing number of people who are angry? People are short fused. Patients, sympathy, compassion, understanding and reasoning is something of the past. Anger seems to be the new way to express displeasure, venting, going into a rage, and spewing out insults is becoming a normal part of people’s character. People blame social media, the overcrowding of public transportation, long commutes, the daily grind of life, high unemployment, hopleness, and high levels of stress, the list can go on and on, but the plain true is people are angry. This anger is spilling out into everyday life. Parents are short tempered towards their children. Couples are fighting more than usual over the smallest issues turning their home into a battle ground. There seems to be more anger at the workplace thus creating an unpleasant and hostile work environment. In the service industry consumers and customer service representatives are at odds due to complaints of low quality serve. People who are employed as wait staff, hair industry, driver’s, retail, healthcare, phone representative, postal workers all have the same complaint. They deliver poor service because they are shown very little appreciation for the services they provide.

If I am painting a picture that the world is on a collision course with itself just think about what is currently taking place immigrants are the focus of this administration, no one is seeking solutions to high unemployment, the homeless, drug abuse, and the increasing numbers of business closing. The politicians are focused on their personal agenda and they have no regards for the people who elected them to protect and provide for our well being in order to build a stronger and better world for the sake of all humanity.
Does any of this make any sense? If so what say you?

My Bleeding Heart.

Valentines-Day

Dear Readers,

Valentine’s Day the day, some women hold men hostage for “A RING,” and a few women will receive roses that will dry up and die. Some women get excited on Valentine’s Day because this is the only day out of an entire year when their partners make an extra effort to express love. Women need to discover their worth and stop determining their worthiness by other people’s opinions. Women must understand the value of self-love rather than waiting for a man to show them love. We are more precious than any DIAMOND RING, and our inner and outer beauty surpasses the life of any ROSE. Many women believe Valentine’s Day is that one special day to express love. Actually, it is another commercialized day to encourage people to part with their money all in the name of “Love.” On this day of “Love” women, have unrealistic expectations that they think will last a lifetime. They are not solely to blame for their behavior. There are women in  society who have not received the proper guidance from their mothers because they lacked knowledge and guidance about self-love. Hence, the cycle of women participating in dysfunctional relationships continues because no one has taught them how to break the “generational curse. “Read “The Waiting Game.”

One woman’s journey of heartache and brokenness to healing and redemption.

Sugar is Sweet

Dear readers,

Have you noticed that we live in a society were labeling people or situations have become common place, and  also used to stereotype people and their behavior? With that said, Lets talk about ” Sugar Daddy’s.” There are many websites dedicated to matching young women ( sugar baby’s ) with older ( geezers) wealthy, horny men: who claim to need the companionship of a women without the pressure of having to establish a relationship.

At this point you might be turning your nose up in disgust, hold onto that thought there is more.

There is an increasing number of young women of all ethnic background who are willing becoming ” sugar baby’s,”  number one reason, yes, you guessed it the money$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ they are given that allows them to experience a better quality of life, compared to women their age who toil at building a career and collect a pay check that uncle SAM dips his hands into.

This ” Sugar baby” life style comes with, lavish trips, tanning on yachts; buying Prada, Vuitton, Gucci, Diamonds, Ruby’s,and drinking Cristal, Moet, and Dom Perignon for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Wow! all that just for spending time with an old, wealthy, lonely man. Hmmmmmmmm

Bringing home the Bacon

Dear Readers,

Here is something to crew on.

e63a_bacon_wallet_inhand

Society consist of the nuclear family, meaning two adults and their children and throw in a pet or two. Some how its been established that man’s duty is to bring home the bacon. Why? Because he is the head of the family.

Question, if the wife of this nuclear family earns more money compared to her spouse, Does this means that she is now the head of the  family? There are countless husband, boyfriends etc., who are not comfortable with a women  earning a bigger pay check than they do.

Does this mean that a man identifies his position in his home based on his earning power? And what does this say for a woman who earns less?

What say You?

A Hand shake or a Hug?

Dear readers,

It’s shameful that we live in a society where physical contact such as, a handshake or a meaningful hug is fading. Nowadays, people are formal and considered not to offend anyone least they cry sexual harassment. When I was growing up, my teachers hugged me when I was feeling sad, for performing well in school, before leaving on summer break, and to welcome me back to a new school year.

Now, assumptions are when teachers are observed hugging their students; or if two men hug, instead of shaking hands. Young ladies are warned not to get too close to a man when hugging him; and that men should wait until a women offers her hand before he extend his hand for a handshake.

There are guide lines for handshakes, for example, a firm handshake is significant, or if a person doesn’t extend  their hand, this is considered an offensive gesture. In some cultures fathers don’t hug their sons. Mature children push away their parents when they attempt to hug them. Elderly people don’t receive as many hugs as they should.

Hugs between intimate couples have become routine and lack true emotional value. Some people hug their pets with more tenderness than they do humans. We are getting further away from staying connected physically because we over look the small important gestures like, holding hands, hugs, or a smile. Yet, we will text or email an emoji  to express how we feel.
